What is Aggregate Financing to the Real Economy (AFRE)?

  • The Aggregate Financing to the Real Economy (AFRE) is an aggregate indicator measuring total funding from the financial system to the real economy (non-financial enterprises and households). The stock indicator refers to outstanding amount of funding at the end of a certain period (month, quarter, or year), and the figure is calculated on the basis of book-value or face-value. The AFRE (Outstanding) reported here is the outstanding amount of funding by the end of previous month. Find out more in the Report on Aggregate Financing to the Real Economy.
