The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) held its bimonthly meetings of Governors on November 9th and 10th 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng attended the meetings and exchanged views with other participating central bank governors on recent global economic and financial developments, enhancing global cross-border payments, implications of non-bank financial institutions for monetary policy, impact of population ageing on financial stability and other topical issues.
On November 11th and 12th, Xuan Changneng met with his counterparts of HM Treasury, the Bank of England, the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority in London, the United Kingdom. They exchanged views on bilateral monetary and financial cooperation, financial stability and regulation, among other issues. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing exchanges and cooperation in the financial area.
