Governor Pan Gongsheng Meets with Senior Officials from Emerging Markets

    During the International Monetary Fund /World Bank Annual Meetings held in October 2025, Governor Pan Gongsheng met with Mr. Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, Mr. Gabriel Galípolo, Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil, Mr. Santiago Bausili, Governor of the Central Bank of Argentina, Mr. Salim Al-Musalmi, Governor of the Central Bank of Oman, Mr. Eyob Tekalign, Governor of the Central Bank of Ethiopia. The meetings primarily focused on the global economic and financial outlook and deepening bilateral pragmatic cooperation.

    During the meetings, Governor Pan emphasized that the global economy is clouded with uncertainties. China stands ready to work with other emerging market economies to enhance political trust, deepen South-South cooperation and uphold a more just and equitable multilateral global governance framework. China will enhance policy coordination through multilateral and bilateral channels with all parties, to leverage the role of emerging markets in the international financial system, thereby injecting vitality into global economic growth and safeguarding global financial stability.
