In order to implement the requirements of the Central Financial Work Conference, the People's Bank of China conducted government bond transactions on the open market in August 2024, purchasing short-term government bonds from primary dealers and selling long-term government bonds. The face value of net bond purchase registered RMB100 billion over the month.
