PBOC Deputy Governor Lu Lei Attends the Fourth Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit and Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025

The Fourth Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit and Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025 were held in Hong Kong from November 3 to 4, 2025. Lu Lei, Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), attended and addressed the events.

Deputy Governor Lu Lei stated that the PBOC will continue to deepen the interconnectivity of financial markets and services between the mainland and Hong Kong, strengthen the development of Hong Kong’s offshore RMB market, consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international financial center, and steadily advance high-standard opening-up in the financial sector. The PBOC will continue to leverage fintech innovations to provide efficient and convenient cross-border payment services for the integrated economic development of both sides, explore new approaches for cross-border payment collaboration involving central bank digital currencies, and enhance exchanges and cooperation with all parties in the field of financial technology, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of the digital economy.
