In line with the need to effectively perform its mandate, the PBC has set up 9 regional branches respectively in Tianjin, Shenyang, Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinan, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xian, 2 operations offices in Beijing and Chongqing, 303 municipal sub-branches and 1809 county-level sub-branches. With proper authorization, these branches and offices undertake to safeguard financial stability and conduct relevant business operations within their jurisdictions.
